Down the staircase
I float like smoke;
discounting years old
things that broke.
The glistening in
my eyes you see,
reflect what is
not what was to be.
A gentle hand,
a swish of hips;
the simple brush
of rouge-tinged lips.
The music only
in my head
and yet our feet
know where to tred.
This lifetime that we've
spend so far
so quickly passing,
crossed the bar
And so, I give you
night and day;
I'll only with you,
dance my life away.

Amazing!
This is excellently written and flows beautifully as you read it. The way each verse is short yet so poignant, each word lingers delicately after you've read it. And the emotion and sentiment of devotion shine through every word. But i also feel an energy of intense passion in this peice.
