Fix the car, change the oil.
Pick up the kids at three.
Buy groceries, mend my socks,
get the cat out of the tree.
I forgot some things at the store,
but dinner is at five!
Oh my goodness, dad,
I don't your fish are alive!
So many jumbled thoughts,
racing through your mind.
So many tiny things to deal with,
I just don't have enough time.
Bedtime is a night mare,
because they just won't go to sleep.
Sink is overflowing
from dishes piled too deep.
But somewhere in the distance,
a calm, cool voice is heard;
"Step back and breathe, beloved,"
calming me with the kindest words.

Hopefully a little bit of truthful comedy... the tribulations of a Mr. Mom. lol

This shows the nightmares that happen both day and night for a single parent. Best of luck to you with this in the contest, and best of luck in life as a parent that loves your kids.

Hey, this is brilliant. Funny, yet so very true to what life is like. Always so much to do that you hardly have time to chill out and relax. Thank you for entering xxx
