He sings to the heavens
where the water cascades.
Golden eyes
ever so alert
Wary of everything
never once to they divert.
Chocolate fur
with years etched into his muzzle
He knows the laws of the word

This is a lovely poem with great use of metaphors and flow and most poetry tools. I really like what you told in your poem and the Autumn scene was very nicely done too. So, this male wolf was going to raise anothers pups? That's an unusual take on the promt but very sweet. I loved this. Thank you for entering my contest and good luck in it.
