Special moments
I spend remembering:
the joy of holding you for the first time
as tiny fingers found mine,
the first smiles;
how my heart fills with love and joy sublime!
I remember:
the way you wobbled, trying to walk;
repeating everything as you learned to talk
potty training in the funniest and strangest of ways
(I can never quite look at Cheerios the same!)
Yes, my children; I remember each and every day...
Smiling, I remember when:
you learned how to read
how you could recite your ABC's...
I remember hugging; making "raspberry's" on your tummy
and
I remember putting smiley face bandages on the "booboos";
these moments are all precious to me
I remember
smiling in pride for your school years now done;
standing and applauding my daughters and sons
I am overcome with emotion as I watch you walk the stage
your future starts today; did I raise you right? do you still need me?
Life moves on now; turn the page...
I remember everything from A-Z
and I treasure you all for you are God's gifts to me
Now I want YOU guys to remember:
as you go out on your own,
always remember that within my heart and soul,
you forever have a home!

Maybe this isn't what you're truly looking for but I have to say that "my soul" is consisted of my children; without my children, I would be so empty. They are truly God's gifts

Oh boy......
What are you doing to me tonight? This one had tears welling up in my eyes too, as it brought back many memories of the days when my boys were younger and in school. Now my oldest just got married back in May, and the other two are out on their own, and starting their lives also.... I am so proud of each of them.. They truly are amazing young men! You did great on this one my dear friend! I can feel your love and pride for your children in this one!!!
