Of Mystery And Mothers: A Double Etherée

On
hearing
of the loss
of the mother
of a friend I think
of the Love embodied
in the nurturing process,
wherein a child incorporates
a touch of the Mystery of One,
having been granted the capacity
to reach and stretch, Infinity being
the hallmark of maternal caring.
This eternal boundlessness is
constant, all circumstances
notwithstanding, as the
mother’s instruction
transcends limits,
such blessing
endless
joy.

This is a very sensitive subject for me. No one can avoid the loss of a parent, You have honored and touched every mother/daughter relationship with this one dear.

    Bravo.

      Thank you

Thank you, Marianne. Mother-daughter relationships are diverse and often complex, but every mother is incredibly important in a child's development, and the influence extends throughout adult life.

    Terrific

Terrific etheree, Carol, both in style and in content.

Poets are especially sensitive to their environment and are stirred/moved/inspired by everyday events. There are energies at play, and we sometimes zero in on those. Our messages are also like soothing balms to others, the stuff that causes people to pause and reflect. You have produced a piece of work that speaks to the heart, and poetry does that too. Not everyone can do it with such finesse, however, so I say bravo and encore.

      Thank you

Thank you, Richard, for the positive and insightful commentary. The spiritual energy among poets is, of course, also a part of the Oneness I write about in this piece, our works coming as gifts from the ether when we are so attuned. And if our poetry speaks to another, soothes an aching heart, or gives pause for reflection, that in itself is something...
