Catch a falling star,
Don't leave her on the scrap heap,
She's had some hard times that have left her sore.
Pick her up, dust her down,
Tell her how amazing she is, so worthy of praise.
Sadly there are many in this world
who suffer from low self esteem,
But you can speak a word of encouragement,
You can tell them they are special,
Pick out one thing you think they excel in.
Keep them in your prayers,
Never stop this gentle work of affirmation;
One day she will achieve something that will astound you,
For surely she is one of the world's greatest stars!
Don't leave her on the scrap heap,
She's had some hard times that have left her sore.
Pick her up, dust her down,

One day she will achieve something that will astound you,
For surely she is one of the world's greatest stars!
Author notes
I wasn't thinking of anyone in particular, but I think the world is full of low achievers with low self image who need some encouragement. I just thought of that when I saw the photo of the red leaf falling.

A great message and theme. The beginning is very catchy and very beautiful... It did the work of capturing the reader's attention very well. And then you steer towards the bigger aspects of the theme... an extremely positive write.
Thank you for sharing this,
all the best

This is one of those poems that has a lot of special meaning in it and you come away with a lesson learned and remembered. You did a great job with your message here. At first I thought maybe you meant an older person who might fall, to dust them off and help them walk again but either way it's very nice. Can be taken in so many ways and all of them are good. Thank you for entering and good luck in my contest. Have a great night.

UPLIFTING AND SWEET!!!!!
I also think many do not consider themselves worthy, I know there are times I don't about myself. Everyone needs encouragement and praise to be able to hold onto strength and courage to face the future.
