Confusion Road

A path
crossed only by thosedaring enough
chosen for the not so faint of heart

as wicked willows
pillar across the jagged stone
a lone light in the distance
leading the way home

sanctuary
from minds own messed up maze
so close, yet so very far away

darkness creeps
shadows wander
this road of desolation
leading to so many forks

but which to choose
if the wrong way is the way you go
will it still lead you
to where your heart is?

Author notes

Just a quick little 2 minute poem. I am lost, at a crossroads at the moment to where my life is really leading me. This sort of puts that all into perspective I guess. LOL Thanks for reading.

Beautiful write, Krys. I liked the last two stanzas the best. It makes me think of how in life there are so many times when we have to make decisions that can lead us in different directions. It's always hard to know which is the right path to take. Good luck to you on your journey, wherever life takes you.

How many times do you end up at those forks in the road in ones lifetime? Too many to counts, I'd assume. In line two you need to seperate a couple of words. crossed only by [thosedaring ]enough. I'd swear you used my laptop...lol Keep penning this little ditty;s that make one ponder! Rose
