I want to be open
painted like a sunrise
in your eyes
I lay into your heart,
all myself in spiritual bliss.
My heart is beyond flesh,
its pressed into you on cold evenings,
sealed between our melted lips
bursting into color with all that I see.
I want to build you a cabin in the woods,
with that kind of natural patchwork love.
My pledge is hidden in stained colors,
shining upon how your love left me,
kneeling at your alter, devoting eternity,
to my sunset I saw in your eyes.
I bloomed in your hands but cried out,
"Where have you been all these ages?"
for I did not know you until now.
