I shall not mourn what might have been
or shattered schemes of mice and men.
Enough of sorrow I shall bear
and cloth of sack and ashes wear
for more than plans undone, I ken.
If aught there was for which I yen
but never truly knew it, then
for naught I’ve lost no grief I’ll spare:
I shall not mourn.
I shall reserve my grief for when
my soul awakes to haunt this glen
where rests my form once hale and fair.
Of sorrows borne I shall not share!
They’re all I own ‘til once again
I shall not mourn.

This was an amazing write; flawless. I loved the flow and the poetic verse. This in my eyes is what poetry should be. The meter and iambs made it very easy to ready so you could focus on the words being spoke without tumbling over them.
