A numbness clouds my vision today, some sort of lovely, cloudy protective shield that offers some barrier between the act of love, the desire for you and the absolute irrationality of either.
Do you believe in fact, that out there in some spandexed, teleporting, star-trekked universe that we were made as one space split and reuniting each night under warm red sheets and cool bright stars?
You with your kindergarten aspirations and me with my brilliant word-woven patterns?
Would we both be naive with healthy bodies that would lie wait to be devoured by the other?
In my numbness I can embrace this with a sultry smile, slip into the fantastical haven and listen to you snore as my lids hood the reality from tired eyes.
