Soldier of Fortune and Fame

Missing image

Life spread out before his eyes
Like an open, grassy field
Blue skies let his thoughts run free
His soul shall never yield

Fortune and fame his only goals
Music to light his trails
A momentary pause he takes
His talent will tip the scales

Artists who went before his time
Their legacies push him on
Songs of old now fill his head
To his destiny he is drawn

His name will be in billboard lights
As surely as moon and sun
This soldier of fortune knows not retreat
His future has just begun
