Can we be alone without begging for company?
Can we make ourselves happy without hurting so many?
Life is solitaire, though we want to share,
But we must know that all our decisions cannot be fair.
We cannot all win or even come in second place,
Or live a life without seeing disgrace.
But to share this with people who understand,
That are always willing to come with a helping hand,
That is what makes a life worth living,
That is what makes this world forgiving.
