I Was Alone.

...I was alone.
Lost in a game of hide and seek,
unable to find myself in a silent place.
I've fought for so long,
I don't even recognize myself anymore.

What have I become without you?

After a while, my blindness got the
better of me.
Like a dying beast,
I began to lay my weary body down.

But just when I had given up,
the light came to me through the trees,
and I grasped it like the breath of life,
the storm in the drought.

I'm saved.
Life is returning to these jaded limbs.
