Gentle pulsing throbs in the ears
of all who venture near,
a subtle pumping of arterial
angst bearing emotions
so onerous they clog the air.
To embrace her melancholy
would breach the sacred chamber,
so touch not the inner vessel,
for it would crumble like sere bones.
Imminently she would perish,
her delicate soul dispersing
in the breath of infinity's abyss.
Left to her own device
she might flourish,
unaware of limpid illumination,
oblivious to reason's touch.
