Pooch

T'was on a sunny sunday
that pooch and I did go
along the banks of the river
where the waters tumbled slow

Over rocks and wooden logs
winding it's way down stream
Pooch and I meandered on
completely in a dream

Suddenly from nowhere
came jessie with her mistress in tow
Pooch had ears pointed
he tugged and I let go

He rushed to little jessie
he must have caught the smell
for Jessie was in season
Something pooch knew well

He grabbed her by the rear
little jessie pooed right there
it gave her such a sudden fright
but Pooch...
He didn't care

After he had finished he
gave one look at me
then cocked his leg in obvious pride
and did a mighty pee

Now by this time I was very stressed
Jessie's mistress was  raving mad
neither of us could have stopped them
My Pooch he needed Jess bad

The deed was done what could we do?
Nothing could have stopped the lust
To Pooch my golden retriever
it was 'have that girl or bust'

Jessie's owner was in shock
I was most upset
Appologising the best I could
as pooch showed no regret

Finally we parted ways
and headed on down the path
Pooch stood tall and arrogant
and I really had to laugh

Here was I embarrassed
watching  dogs mating that way
but what the hell...
things happen
(shrug)
It was such a  glorious day!

this was cute, and it had a nice rythem to it. It's not my idea of humor but it made me smile anyways.
