Have you ever mistaken boulders for hills
sped the roads that never came to end
chased a desire that remained a dream
caught fancy that grew still
stole a thing which was available free
and gave away one stowed up on that long tree
have you been a fool who said wise things
and a wise man with foolish stings
perhaps we all have been
in that frame
that wilts
and angles
like a child's pram
sights
stay
and focus
mind thinks
in the locus
the radius blurs
as imagination is aspur
look hard what you get
you have
to do thinking
yet.

You know.... I REALLY like this!
Typically, I frown upon so much rhyme (and a couple of lines close to the end did seem a bit forced - as if you put words there only because they would fit the rhyme scheme)... but this is so wonderful I really completely overlooked that at first read.
Like the commentor below me, I found myself thinking about every little detail in life - how we can get these grandiose ideas and unobtainable dreams stuck in our heads.
Lovely write! Thank you for sharing!

thinking
I like the way this poem begins by making the reader think, even though it is a fast paced read. Then towards the middle, with the words placed as they are, the reading slows down a good bit. The ending lines bring the pace back up.
I love the questions in the beginning. I am doing thinking now. This is so good!!!
