I now stand alone
this autumn night
beneath the tree
where we loved
what shall i do
now that you're gone
we were together for so long
hunting together by day's light
loving together as the moon shined bright
i never expected you to go
it was your last breath taken
that finally let me know
there is no more
you and i
i stand alone by our tree
and silently cry!

AWWW I can almost see the silent tear dropping down his face. Lovers broken apart, probably by man, how sad this is. I loved your write. You did awesome with metaphors and imagery and feelings were superb!! I love feelings in a poem and still pull off the beauty in it. Thank you for entering my contest and good luck to you.
