i think, therefore I Am
i am thinking
not knowing, thinking
…dreaming…
i am dreaming of the ego character
running about in the universal screen
in the mind that dreams
i act according to my beliefs
experiencing the consequences in time
temporal beliefs of thoughts
in the little ego mind
I Am formless needing no space
I Am stands by outside of time
watches and waits
for the end of thinking
end of dream time
I Am a zillion different pieces
I Am One
I shall do it all again when the dream is done
there is nothing to know
because nothing is eternally real
except I Am
Author notes
For the contest 'This is what you wanted', I chose the quote option:
“I think, therefore I am” Descartes
“The consciousness that says ‘I am’ is not the consciousness that thinks” Jean-Paul Sartre

I like this one. When I got to I Am formless, I felt a shiver down my back. I like the distinction between i am and I Am.

How very well stated. You certainly are a true kindred spirit. Ever considered the possiblitiy of I AM NOT LOL..Think about it. For if we are not, then are we at all?
I am sure you will do very well in this contest.

Ah, yes, you come full circle
in your thinking,
dreaming, realizing,
pondering who you are.
I cannot keep out of my mind
the voice singing, "I am,
I said." Of course, Neil
Diamond in the mid 70s,
daring to keep company with
Descartes and Jean-Paul Sartre.
A remarkable thought path,
trodden upon by many a great mind.
Superb interpretation, Bonita.

I Am a zillion different pieces, I Am One...the only math we'll ever need to learn
it is such a delight and a pleasure to read you Bonita, it is not just the fact that we are what we are, it is in the Knowing, the Awareness
Last night I looked at the title of this poem in the favourites page and said; I must read this poem, however I did not read it last night, I just took my pen and on a blank page wrote: I Am therefore I Am
Your work is simply remarkable and that is because it is remarkably simple; nothing is wasted
Thank you
John
