I wonder if it's near the end
all this misery and strange darkness
should find its way down again
I wait for the crash
and empty my veins
now is the time to wait
I was born broken
into a broken family
tears stained blue
smiles too wide with joy
children who are bright
fall too far from the sky
My tattoo has worn away
but the scars remain a proof
tell your story, they never asked
but I wanted to
once upon a time she was
full of so much imagination
then suddenly it all went away
but not the sand castles
they stayed
now she's crying
now she's dying
now she's flying
now she's trying
to get it back someway
maybe....today

This is a very painful write, but I sense a bit of hope at the end. Wonderful job with this piece, thank you so much for entering it in my contest.
