You and I; We

Wishes someone were to hold and comfort me,
but I cast those dearest away -
leaving myself
weeping
sleeping
dreaming
over what can never be undone.

Stars align in the mystery of truth,
setting consciences of guilt free -
leaving us
hopeful
joyful
serene
over lies that have been revealed.

Hidden in your closet of shame,
wondering where to go from here -
leaving yourself
befuddled
distraught
torn
over hidden desires desperate to break free.

Come with me, my dearest,
we will take on this world together -
we will hold and comfort each other
and rid ourselves of guilty memories
and unleash our desires upon each other
for we are but pawns in a game, my dearest,
let us play one in return.

interesting, I think maybe I would have made it all the same style, but I understand that ending a poem satisfactorily when you've made just so many lines can be tiresome. well done! The message is wonderful.
