I Found A Friend

I found a friend who's like no other.
Just like me, but a bit more friendly.
You make me laugh.
You can cheer me up easily.

I'm running out of reasons to cry.
It used to be an every night occurance -
crying of life's small woes.
Nothing but happy tears, it seems, from this time hence.

I fell in love wholeheartedly.
It struck me quickly; not like before.
It took me off guard,
but I couldn't ask for more.
