Generation Y

I have seen kids rushing across the street,
Holding up their pants, least they fall around their feet
Talk about a traffic stopper it is really quite a show
Sometimes we take bets on how low they will go
Use to you had to pay just to get a peek
However, these views are not for the meek
You have to be brave to see what they show
Hoping your stomach can last until they go
My grandson tried this for a little while
However, what he received was not a smile
Now I have a twelve year old at home
And I swear if he tries to go wrong
He will be wearing those pants on top of his head
They will be pulled up tight until everything is dead
I never could fathom the reason why
They were calling this generation “Y”
But after a few moments of thinking it through
I decided a mom’s humor had to be the clue

LOL. y these kids are more interested in presenting a vertical rather than horizontal smile Ill never know - fashion trends direct from the state pen. Kids are stupid. Remeber when the worst was ripped jeans and mall hair? UGH!

It use to be the only time you would see a sight like the prompt PIC was on a skid row wine-o It's sad the see todays generation aspiring to an image that lands them below the first rung of the social ladder.
Thank you for entering my contest.

LOL> I like your take on what you would do if the 12 year old tried this! I'm 50 with a Gen-Y-er son whose chose is skinny jeans, but if he tried to wear his pants indecently and for some reason I couldn't stop it, his father certainly would!
    I like these lines:

"My grandson tried this for a little while
However, what he received was not a smile"

    Best wishes in the contest.

    excellent

I can't understand why they would want to even consider wearing them...
My son is 33 and I think I would rip his world apart if he ever wore anything like that...bless his heart he doesn't.....I live right across from the school and this street is busy busy with kids and teens walking it.................to walk across the foot bridge to get to down.............I see those kids with the droopy pants looks like they want to fall on down................oh the rhyme there
    Looks disrespectal to me..................
Best of luck in the contest
Do come see me........I have had a virus trying to catch up
    Hugs
    Your sis

big Kudos to you my dear

I have yet to understand the pants drooping below the ass thingy..I see it in my neighborhood everyday..it is not a "crack-up" that I wish to see..my daughter tried this S T one day..she came over to visit dressed in drooping jeans..I love her with all my heart but I gave her my belt [wanted to in more ways than one but I was a nice dad]..I made her puul up those pants before I would let her in..Thank God she grew out of this "Generation Y" craze..
Brilliant penning! Write On!..wish you the best..love David

Thanks david! I don't see it as often as I use to but it makes me wish that they would trip and land flat on their face. I think it would prevent them from being so eager to do it again.

Me either! I swear I saw one at the store last week and the stradle of his jeans was almost touching his ankles. I wish they would pass a mom law so us mothers could whop any kids we saw doing that.
