Scouse n proud

I'm a liver bird through an through
my wonderful city is my roots

I was born an raised on a council estate
with lots of hardships an beer crates

A lot has happened in my life
but i still soldier on through all the strife

You knock me down i get back up
where i come from you gotta be tough

But a council estate it may be
don't dare even think your better than me

You get your low lives the scum the dirt
but most of us are the salt of the earth

If you want a laugh an a good knees up
then come to my city where its full of love

A friendly face is what you'll get
in a fantastic city that's full of the best....

    true

great poem ' salt of the earth' is in fact what the majority of people in council estates are, they're the ones holding this country together.
