An Original Life

When you deserted me
in the mid of way,
I broke down and cried;
endlessly for the loss
or shame or both,
times rolled on
and so did the world,
never pausing to view
the deplorable soul,
that was yet to recover.

Once the emotions thinned,
I gathered my wits
and discovered that,
life was still bountiful;
seeking my true self,
delving deep into the heart,
mused on the carefree life,
sang the song of nature,
danced in torrential rains,
and learnt to live an original life.

the moon
at my window.

    I love the contrast betweeen the first and second stanzas, the feelings of lost and then the discovery of a true self. Very nice to contemplate! Lita
