You stole my heart from beneath him,
He thought he had everything,
Once he stole my heart,
But little did he realize,
That while he boasted about the ownership,
You had stolen the key,
And stealthily unlocked it,
I watched it happen slowly,
Believing myself delusional,
Yet here I sit today,
Seeing how clear my vision had been,
He treated me as merely a trophy,
And you appreciate my mind,
How foolish I'd been to believe him,
That he was a man,
But the past is the past,
And the present is what matters,
We left him sitting there in tears,
With the knowledge that his knowledge was mistaken,
And the memory of a love undone.
