the sun sinks behind these
thick, southern trees
that huddle together
in a sea of wheat;

I watched the road
stretch between your quiet house
and our sedan,
letting music fill the gap with

some kind of meaning.

    beautiful, very simply. i like that the image is easy, and quickly defined without rushing. you can live in it, like a painting that should be comfortable, but with some unrefined disturbia between stalks of wheat.

    also, i love the colors. i usually try to get my backgrounds to somehow match my poem, and i fail miserably haha so on a very aesthetic front, i can appreciate that. la la
