First scar,
Daddy abuses me.
Second scar,
Mommy leaves me.
Third scar,
Daddy touches me.
Fourth scar,
Boyfriend rapes me.
Fifth scar,
Couch sexually harasses me.
So many more scars,
That lead me to where I am now,
So many things left unsaid,
So many things that made me think,
That I was all alone.
So many reasons for dying,
So many scars that changed mt life.
Scars that can't be healed,
So many hurting memories that taught my every dream.
Sixth scar,
Mom comes back,
But says I'm worth nothing.
Seventh scar,
Dad abuses mom,
And leads her to leaving again.
Eighth scar,
Dad leaves,
And I am sent to a foster home.
Too many scars to count,
More the I want to remember,
So many scars that I hate,
And cover up.
These are my life scars,
And most people are proud of them,
But I am ashamed and lost...

Beautifully Painfull
I find this piece written with so much emotion, and so much of you that people never see.... i understand, that most people keep their scares as an award for being tough, but in the end... it f*cks you up.. This was a moving and very beautiful poem of a withered nightmare hiding in your closet...
