fly me to the moon

take my hand
little bean
and we'll fly
so high
that houses
will disappear
and our hair
will whip 'round
and the world
will shrink
to the size
of a pebble
and we'll whirl
like dervishes
swirling like mad
and blow kisses
at stars
and remember
that each one
each star
is a soul
who's passed
before us
and kisses us back
with shining eyes
that light
the night
as we float
back down
like feathers
and settle
to drink
hot chocolate
with marshmallows
and caramel
and we'll giggle
and tickle
and laugh
and tell Mommy
'bout the man
in the moon
and the rocket
in his eye

and she'll say
in that Mommy way
"you two are nuts"
