I知 just a poor kid with an old guitar
Always playing for the wind and sky
Dreaming to perform among the stars.
I知 just a poor kid with a burning passion
I write my songs and ignore my poverty
I have my music but I have no property.
I知 just a poor kid with rhyme and rhythm
I give this life a novel version
I record my music in my heart and memory.
I知 just a poor kid with an old guitar
Starting to play in bars and music houses
Dreaming to perform for more audiences.
I知 just a poor kid with a burning passion
Playing feverishly, chasing my destiny
A soldier of fortune in the music industry.
I知 just a poor kid with rhyme and rhythm
A new discovery of a famous agency
I start to play and rock the city.
I知 just a poor kid with an old guitar
But I致e been everywhere, I致e gone so far
Chasing my dream to be a star.
I知 no longer a poor kid with an old guitar
I致e bought a new one, I even got a car
This soldier of fortune has won the war.
I知 a far-famed kid but I致e kept my old guitar
Secretly playing for the wind and sky
A star performing for the brighter stars.

Thank You for Your Entry ~
the repetition works well in this piece I think; you open up a realistic view of musicians and how most start their lives and careers without being overly in-your-face
best of luck
