Icy fingers release their hold on the earth
And melt away
Nature lets out its breath
Singing for joy
At the promise of new life
After the long, dead winter
Cheerful noise resounds
Baby birds fluttering their wings
Creatures great and small
Bursting out of winter havens
Bright colors return to the land
Red and yellow flowers
Green grass and blue skies
All of creation rejoices
