Breath and light in two grey eyes.
All my despair falls and dies,
With my hatred and contempt.
I stand in rapture and the centurions fall limp.
Pain shocks my soul like a tidal wave,
Like running in May and falling headlong in a grave.
Reach me, stretch out your hands,
Give me bliss in a dead land.
The arms of mercy cover me and
hands of history lift my face.
I look up into eyes of dawn and
wish to never leave this place.
My body shudders in misery,
I wish that I was only soul.
To feel you hold me close in love,
and never hear the iron bells toll!
I hear you weep and taste your tears upon my lips.
So many years we should of had!
Still in agony I’m glad,
that you are here to kiss me as I die.
You are my sky.
I love you more than life, my love.
Goodbye!
