Haunted hearts, cry more tears than anyone can see,
they really need to be held, don't just let them be.
Take this soul that is so lost, and hold it in your arms,
cherishing and loving it, protecting it from harm.
That's all it would take, to make this broken heart mend,
to prove to it you'll never, break it in half again.
Next time that you see me, don't just look into my eyes,
open up and listen, as my haunted heart cries...

this is beautiful. the expression of the true longing of broken hearts is a sad but intricately beautiful thing. to be able to express it though you must know it. i hope that the heart that calls and whispers 'love me' has an answer or will get one soon.
