We were very sad when our mom died
but the hardest was yet to come
For you see we had expected
our mom to not live for very long
But what really got us was when our dad
passed away so very suddenly
The house went up for sell and our lives
was like living in a nightmareish hell
Not only was it sad but having to find
a place to live was the hardest thing to do
We had no money no job or means
to find another house for us to live in
Living from place to place and not knowing if
we were going to have to get out the next day
Was not the most enjoyable way to live
but somehow we had endured
The years this happened was from 2005 to 2007
and we were happy when we got that tiny trailer
Only thing was we didn't have anything
to sleep on except for an airmattress
And no way of cooking a good hot meal
because it was a gas stove
We didn't have that kind of money just laying
around to pick up and spend on a luxury like gas
But somehow we made it and now we are happy
one brother lives in a small house
and another brother lives in an apartment
As for me, daughter and son-in-law
guess we got the better end of the deal
because we live in a fixer-upper
four bedroom, with 2 bathrooms
Come from having nothing except the clothes
we had all owned to all this now
Now life is grand and we never
take it for granted like we did before
the passing of our parents

This reminds me of a true story ...
which happened in Georgia also, believe it or not. They made it into a movie called "A Son's Promise". If you haven't seen it, you might want to check it out.
Congratulations on winning through to a better result.

Thank you, for the comment. I still remember, the day so vividly, when I got a phone call from the doctor, telling me dad had passed away. I was so emotionally broken and suffered. So much pain and didn't want to live, after he passed away. But with the help, of my other family members, I am still living and have a happier life, now. Thank you, again for the comment. Take care and have a great day.

Thank you, very much for the comment. I still to this day, really do miss both of my parents. But it really hit me harder, when dad passed away. I really had an emotionally bad time, after his passing. But in the years, since his death, I am now much better. I live one day at a time and still go to college, thanks to my daughter talking me into it. Thank you, once again. Take care and have a great day.
