Emancipation

All my life I've been in confinement like a prisoner

Letting others dictate saying, "they know whats best for her"

All my life I have allowed others to live their dreams through me

What I really wanted out of life I didnt even expect to become a reality

All my life Ive tried to people please

Not even giving a damn about my own needs

Until now, today the chains are released

I am going to live MY LIFE only for me

Without cash, I'm paying for my own bail

Breaking free from this family and so called friend created jail

I'm going to walk outside into the bright, beautitful sunshine

take control of my life, which is only mine

Not giving a damn about what you think I should do

because my dreams are the only ones I'm making come true

What did you think
