I see the fields of your heart
revealed within your mesmerizing eyes,
of crops sewn with the love seeds
who are gathered by our lips.
Above the sky
spreads its cerulean canopy
over the landscape of our souls,
by touches we have plowed
the deep furrows of our soil
in the rich nakedness of night.
But my love
you have planted in my life’s acres
the precious wheat of joy,
nothing grows more bountiful
than the grains from your caress.
Each eve is a spring,
a vernal ecstasy of pleasure,
where we dwell in that earth
more fertile that I could ever imagine.
Because my darling,
before you came
all I possessed was fallow, barren ground
that had been my plot of sorrow,
until you watered it with care,
turned my dry and destitute life
into a garden shaped like your face.
Come with me, sweetheart,
let us lie among the entwined beauty
this union made into a farmland
created by your tender fingers,
which dug beneath the brittle texture
then turned it into such amazing scenery.
Now and forever
will I cherish the blessings of our oneness
reaped as an endless harvest of happiness

Thank You for Your Entry ~
this is beautifully engaging in the imagery and emotions felt; you add metaphors without overwhelming the poem, you allow it to flow freely like the rain after summer
best of luck

Love this stanza the most, but it's a brilliant write as a whole. Great writing and good luck in the contest! -
