I once was a beautiful butterfly,
I would flutter in a perfect pattern,
wings high in the blue open sky.
every other butterfly would cry out,
'how pretty you are'
and even from afar only I was seen,
delicately dancing in the breeze.
yet this poor butterfly was not at ease.
I was lonely for my beauty isolated me,
alone I would fly alone I would cry,
Dashing in the darkness, searching for way out.
And like a butterfly with burnt tired wings
I can't give a fight
I can't find the key,
But still I hover
Flying high on wings of desire

The metamorphosis of the butterfly....
from a lowly crawling insect to a rainbow in flight..
you my lass came to veiw in all you brilliance and color,
bringing joy to children...ornaments for nature, joy to the world.
Beauty does stand alone..
often the price it must pay for its beauty...
but in your solitude you shine above all the want a be's
beauty does not stay lonely long......
its envied , revered ,and then set free.
to paint the skies and gain the love of a thousand summers.
such a wonderful piece of writing...
through all the years, you never cease to amaze me.
May the wings of the butterfly kiss the sun.
And find your shoulder to light on.
To bring you luck, happiness and riches.
Today, tomorrow and beyond.

First let me say Fantastic piece, very easy to relate to. However, might I suggest you go back and check out some things? Nothing major line two perfectly? maybe just perfect? and with a burnt tired wings? seemed a bit off...not sure how, just did, otherwise beautiful work. I loved it. Please don't take offense to my suggestions friend. Yours truly, ~amanda~

When I saw your title i wanted to write a piece for it then , but i coudn't
I had to wait unitl the contest was over. lol
And yes I admire butterflies so i thought i would give them a voice of their own.
I wrote a piece for one title of the Gold ,silver,and bronze winners.
Thats how much they inspired me.
