I wished upon the furthest star
And landed on the moon
A floating bubble my guitar
A planet my cocoon
The wondrous galaxy I held
And crushed it in my hand
The mysteries of life to meld
Bright sparkle my grandstand
And then I breathed a soulful moan
And Milky Way gave way
Then, blissful sighs made silent moan
And started my birthday
To see another grateful year
Was all I had wished for
And from the sky a blinked out tear
Gave promise to three-score
And then I added tender gift
Of ten more years at least
I held up hands in Holy lift
And tasted fondest feast
For I am blessed to see this time
And know it be God’s will
To write out thoughts in clearest rhyme
The Lord has paid my bill

Today is my fifty-fifth birthday. I don't know how 55 years passed so swiftly. I got on my knees this morning and thanked the Lord of Host for this gift. I know I have a few more in store. At least the three-score and ten He promised.
I am truly blessed and sing HALLELUJAH!
