Life's puzzle not even close to completed

My life's puzzle is so diverse.
First in college my roomate was from Japan;
barely spoke english.
I remember comparing american and japanese magazines
we both got mailed to us.
I took her around and helped her to tour the US the best I could.
Hung out with her Japanese friends.

Then my best friend was african american
as we found out we were distant cousins
and he and I stemmed from the same
Irish ancestor that came to the states in 1860;
not knowing this he was always the shoulder I cried on
... when my heart was broken.

Then I married a man born in Luxembourg
as his birth certificate written and made in Paris France;
his dad spoke fluent German, Luxembourgese, French and English
his rudeness of my father-in-law passed through many different countries.

Then I taught school in an african american community
after growing up in an all white suburb.
Its like two worlds those school environments,
but both have their ups and downs
and shining qualities.

Then I am Greek.
My grandmother and everyone before her
spoke fluent Greek I love Greek culture and Greek food.
Greece is one of the countries I hope to go to someday.

Just when I thought it was all diverse
I have close Haiten friends where I am learning
another very different culture.

I have friends from Kenya
that tell me stories from that country one wouldn't believe.

And I never left the planet.
am still young
and love learning and experiences
all the beautiful flavors of life.
