Hello my dearest Jason,
I've been thinking of you all day.
We have set up our quarters
and still have some time to play.
They're showing a movie tonight I'm told
but I'd rather be writing to you.
telling you how I love the way we are
hoping you feel that way too.
I know two years is a long time
to expect someone to wait
I'd prefer to be home with you
and out on our very next date.
Do you think you can be true my darling?
Can you wait for me to be back?
If not I'll try to understand
I won't think it's character you lack.
But trust me my darling, Jason
I'll be pure as the day that I left.
All around me are other soldiers
I could never be that deft.
I miss you with all of my being.
I dream of you night and day.
With you in my heart ever loving me
I may find a little time to play
But work must come first, I know.
I can not be caught distracted.
But when I have free time on my hands
I'll be looking at our last picture, so attractive.
I must close for now, my lover.
Time is running short as I've lingered so long.
I'll sing myself to sleep tonight
silently singing our song.
Love forever,
Sharon
