His eyes fill with tears
Yet not even one falls
For her, he has to be strong
Never showing he grieves
Looking so peaceful in the hospital bed
She has been sleeping for days
But he talks to her all the while
This is his girl laying there
No way he could leave her
Always praying for recovery
His sweetheart whom he loves

Awhile back one of my friends was in a car accident but she did not get hurt. I guess I was inspired by how her fiancee cared so much so I decided to write a poem how he would act in a different setting.

This is a very touching poem. I'm glad to hear that your friend wasn't hrt in the accident. It must have been very comforting to her knowing the her fiancee was there. Hopefully nothing like this will ever happen to us but if it does then I hope that our friends will be there for us too. Nice job!

i feel that the repitition of 'day' throws of the rythem of the poem a bit. maybe something like this would help?
