Young lovers skimming rocks across our secret river
splashing dreams together while nervous thoughts would quiver
We tossed chills with a glance as jealous people stared
watched each others smiles explode as our feelings cheered
We were two peas in a pod, better than Bonnie and Clyde
we always reminisced on the luck of Our ride
We shared secrets like school kids and pinky swore our fears
made promises with our lips and left the past with our tears
We floated on cloud nine hundred and ninety nine
we made Love in the woods, sipped fantasies like wine
Wrapped our future with heart strings and cut out the harm
looked forward to vacations in one another’s arms
We played in each others eyes, we were one of a kind
we were best friends who always got lost in laugh lines
