select smooth shells
doused in fine vinegar
sweet spice
bathed
refined
clarified and drawn
lines - plotted thick
political click
cucumbers made fine
accompaniments
devoured by the
hungry elite
set on self destruct
numbers merited
support for such deed

I feel some places could have used more body to strengthen this piece - but as is; has a clear poetic message. I loved where your mind went from the prompt. You phrase deliciously too

I believe that we become what we consume. A steady diet of lima beans, makes me wonder, spiced and marinated, served with aplomb, sounds good, I'm sold, I'll have the beans.

Yes,
Numbers,
