Our Next Time

As I watch your silhouette in the moonlight
I recall the feel of each muscled part.
It flames my desire to lie with you again.
Your diamond like eyes show my reflection
as I walk to stand beside you
and watch the thunderstorm.
You light a match for a candle as the lights go out.
The history of our times together
brings out the yearning inside me.
I tremble as you kiss the back of my neck
and I feel the first pearl drop of moisture.
I am alive again with the beating of my heart
becoming so strong and fast it’s like
a screaming muscle that is begging to be tamed..
The vein in your throat can be seen beating
to the melody I hear from our battery run
CD player. We are sheer perfection
Gazing out the window with thoughts
of sugarplums dance in our heads.
Like two little kids on Christmas Eve.
If I ever wished for perfectionism,
My wish has been granted in you..
Our elegance in the way we love
is not relatable to most.
For no one loves as we do.
We are different and special.
Only when we’re together.

that was a good line to end the poem with. You have a lot of excellent imagery in this, and parts of it remind me of me and my boyfriend♥

    Amazing

Sharon, this is a remarkable and beautifully penned poem. I don't think you will need luck either. This was great, but I will add best of luck in the contest...Raul
