Let’s heal those achy bones.
You say other squirrels are known to fly?
And thought today’s the day to try?
Can’t figure why you went so high.
Just one of the unknowns.
Like why you filled your cheeks like that-
you had to know with a face so fat,
just makes sense, you’d end up flat
after jumping from that roof.
There wasn’t even grass to land-
no bushes, trees, or even sand!
I can’t believe you played that hand-
Land sakes! You are a goof.
How’s that feel, this thumpy thump?
Lucky I found ya on that stump.
Perhaps your head has a little bump.
But I think you’ll be alright.
About your nuts, they stood the jar?
Not those! You furry porno star!
That kind of talk won’t get ya far.
I mean the ones that we can bite.
Yea, yea, you wipe that grin away.
I best be careful what I say.
I should’ve stayed in bed today,
yet the care is working well.
Just wait a sec, I got a call
Don’t shake and make my table fall.
What was that?! Don’t that beat all.
I was told you never fell!

This had a slap-my-knee-hill-billy-squirrel appeal to it that made me hear washboards scratchin' and milk jugs blowin' throughout. The words match the picture so well that they should be live audio for it. This poem makes for a welcome laugh break.
