This isn't a real poem
and those aren't real words
they're just excuses for tears
and useless meaningless things
But not a real poem
It's not really crafted right
It's falling apart from line one
Tumbling into less poetry
More like an apology
Because this not poem is about apologies.
And about the things we never say but really mean
And how it feels to be so sorry that you can't explain it
To be so sorry that when you try to write an apology like mine
That it becomes a poem that isn't really a real poem
It's not a real poem
Like these aren't real lives
Like it didn't really hurt
And I'm not really sad
Poetry doesn't need form
But it needs a point
And I'm starting to think
my point was a little
Obsolete to start with
Even if I wanted more for it
Than what it really is going to
turn out like.
A not real comment?

I think, no matter how cool that looks, when you break it up like that, it takes away from the "not poem."
But it's nice, regardless.
