Echo's

Echos soft of forgotten dreams
In the lost hallways of my mind

Simple visions that I cannot see
Words that move in dancing rhyme

Memories of all emotions lost
Things done well or not at all

Her voice whithers in my soul
With emotions that can't recall

Half between the hours of sleep
When only the moonlight glows

I find the things that I have lost
Disappearing as daylight grows

"Her voice whithers in my soul"

I believe this is the subject of, the one at, the heart of this poem about how memory fades. But you wrote it, you are the one who knows! How do you like these idiots like me who come along and tell you how and why you wrote a given poem!!? What are we supposed to say in these Comments, anyway? Just READING the poem is what is so good, not telling the author what he was doing in writing it!

An exquisite poem, truly penned with longing that is quite poignant and beautiful. good Poet Sir, would you kindly allow me to post it on the poetry blog I run in California? it is Poetry Planet and would be sweetly blessed by your penning.

    dearly are dreams cast

Once again I find myself completely moved by the poetry you write, such a beautiful expression of loss.
You paint such a sad picture with your words, one that I know all too well.
    Beautifully penned friend!

Been going through exactly what your words convey. Very heartfelt and brings a tear. But life goes on, it does not wait for anyone. I have missed your lovely poetry. Your lovely words lay close to my heart dear friend. I haven't sent you many hugs and smiles lately so here is a bunch.

    Locve and Blessings, Sandy
