Rage

Words seductive slipping off your lips,
The air around twists and turns, rolling off your hips,
Your games and lies have cut down to my soul,
The pain has dug so deep in me, that me you'll never know...

Past memories of pain,
Of a malice unrestrained,
My contempt now warms and tolls,
Carving into our gravestone,
Don't worry, I won't shed a tear,
You could not hurt me, not be near,
Your hate's not close enough to love,
O, and, like the wolf I truly am, I will consume your very heart and soul...

Late at night, I bathe in memories,
Lust consumed, passion won, this skin is dirty,
Then clense myself in a much darker rage,
Pure in it's intention,
Destroying you and thy own cage...

With past lives filled with so much sin,
I die now, just to rise again,
The cynical joke to man,
I am the flames reborn of sand,
Don't worry, I won't shed a tear,
Hourglass shattered, I fear,
Your hate's not close enough to love,
O, and, like the wolf I truly am, I will consume your very heart and soul!

This is dark and cleverly written. I was pulled into the poem from the onset and what a hauntingly guided ride! I feel like I was peering into something very personal. Very nicely crafted poet!

This was... holding back a lot.
But, that will be shown when I finish the book I'm working on.
I do appreciate it, thank you.

  • Interesting. Bitter. And yeah I can see the contempt in it. Well done. ...

    though I wonder....

      No, it's not about you.
Or is it something else you wonder?
