These Hands

I love these hands
These tiny, trusting, precious hands.
I hold them and kiss them and love them
as we dance round and round the room.

Too soon, they'll be drawing
writing.

These tiny hands will have polish.

They'll grasp the wheel of Daddy's '97 Ford.

My baby's hands,
my small, little hands,
will soon be long and slender.
Those graceful hands will hold a new pair.

Soon, a ring will sparkle on this hand,
this little hand I love so much,
as it waves goodbye tot he family
who held and kissed and loved that hand.

Then, they'll hold a brand new pair,
so small and precious,
and will love and kiss and hold them
as the two dance round and round the living room.

And my two wrinkled hands
will laugh.

But now, my baby's hands are mine
to hold and kiss and love
as we dance round and round the living room.

I'm looking to improve myself- constructive criticism, por favor. :)

I plan to revise this poem: please leave constructive criticism!
