What Thanksgiving is...

Thanksgiving Day
Its not a day of pay

Its a day of thanks and saying grace
A day just to embrace

A day of being with your loved ones
A day of being with daughters and sons

A day with fathers and mothers
And many others

A day to indulge in food
A day without a  family feud

    Yay for a day without a family feud . Too many families have too many of those already. I enjoyed your poem as it reminds me of some of the more important things about the holiday.

    This is a nice poem that makes me smile; I'm Australian and therefore don't have anything to do with Thanksgiving but can appreciate the day for others

    Grammar error "Its" --> "It's" as you are saying "It is"

    This is a cute little poem. I'm from Canada, where Thanksgiving is celebrated in October, yet your piece made me crave turkey and pie all over again.

    Just a sidenote:

    "Fued" should be "feud".

    Also, the rhyme was a little off in some places, but the sentiment is there. Well done, and thanks for entering.
