Miscellanea

miracle birth makes a miracle smile
caught in a lovers embrace for a while
barbie dolls stretch for over a mile
a catwalk model has no sense of style
tormenting teacher gave B's to a child
guilty as charged but he'll still stand trial
the crowd cries yes though they're all in denial
acres of laundry thrown high in a pile
queues for rations in polite single file
marching out West hoping to find the Nile
only poison is left in this small vial
reluctant bride runs back up the aisle
one digit left but unable to dial
colour me purple and clean up the bile

Randomness. This is what I think about when drifting off to sleep.

i really enjoyed the rhyming in this, it gave the piece a nice flow. wonderful randomness that really reflects what the mind thinks of at night (with my mind it's all stream of thought jumping from one topic to the next) and to me it captures perfectly what keeps me awake. nicely done, and best of luck in the contest <33

Definite randomness. But it all keeps rhyme and ebbs and flows. It's poetic stream of consciousness. I like it. I don't know if there's any deeper meaning (if there is, sorry you lost me) It makes me think of channel surfing. like the rhyme, thanks for entering.

    Good luck in the contest

I love randomness. It is my favorite way to write. This was good randomness, and rhyming randomness at that lol. Which, by the way, if you like rhyming randomness, you might want to read my poem "Little Things Fly With Golden Wings".

I enjoyed reading this, and thanks for your comments on mine.

It's actually very clever. Each line is like a political statement in miniform... or Simpology as a stupid car advert keeps saying. Loved it.. I bet there weren't many "ile" words left so you used them up wisely and cleverly Enjoyed

    Oooh I thought I'd commented on this but seems I haven't. It definitely is just random thoughts but the rhyme links them all. Some of them are rather strange but then again, you have one strange mind (;

I agree in that its all totally random, but at the same time they all fit together. Very well written.
